Virtual Community Herb Tasting : The Intimacy of Attention

November is dedicated to hawthorn (Crataegus spp.)

I don’t know about you, but when I hear the name hawthorn it conjures a felt sense of lightness and images of heart-mending, red berry medicine delivered in deliciously bright and tart remedies. However, this year, this month, I’m particularly drawn to its thorns and the protective magic it weaves when we must traffic in our own underworlds whether they are made of our personal demons, grief, or both. Hawthorn says, “you can, in your own time.”

Join me for a tasting of the leaf and flower today and next Friday and the berry on the 16th, 23rd, and 30th to listen for hawthorn’s message for you.
